My Summer Reading List

This is a huge list, but I like to aim high - some fluff, some that I need to read before teaching a new class next year and some that I've been meaning to read for at least a year. I'll review them as fast as I can get them read, and chances are decent that there will be other candy books I slip in because I want to and I'm the boss of me and can do things like that. :)

Perks of Being a Wallflower

City of Glass (3)

What I saw and how I lied

Poisonwood Bible

Great and Terrible Beauty (3)

The Red Tent

Harry Potter (7)

Fablehaven (5)

Kite Runner

The Help

Dracula

Cold Sassy Tree

My Sister’s Keeper

19 Minutes

Bel Canto

Life of Pi

Pride and Prejudice

In the Lake of the Woods

Princess of the Midnight Ball

River Secrets

Forest Born

Love in the Time of Cholera

In the Time of Butterflies

Ethan Frome

Mythology

The Art of Racing in the Rain

I bought Cold Sassy Tree in Arizona and listened to it all the way home from Tucson. My cassettes are in the Sherratt Library. IF you want to listen rather than read, I'll bring them home for you. Hey, maybe my student can make them into an MP3 file.

Sigh. I'm not even going to make a list like that. Good luck though. I'm looking forward to your reviews.

You mean I've read something Tasha hasn't? I didn't think it was possible. :) I liked the Red Tent. I started Love in the Time of Cholera, but couldn't finish it. (Maybe your review will convince me to try again.)
That is an ambitious list.

Laurel - I'm sure it is incredibly likely that you have read much that I haven't. Really try The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society - you will like it - I'm confident.

Janet - I may consider the audio book. I haven't really enjoyed many because I don't seem to have the time without conversation to listen to them - I tend to be able to multitask better with a real book :)

Harmony - Since I can't be a super mom like you - I read :)

I am so excited for your book reviews. Have you really not read Harry Potter 7 or are you just rereading it?

I have never read any of them.

GASP!

Wow, That is a GASP! So now I seem to understand the number by the books is the number of books in the series you plan to read. Wow, Your reading list just got longer :) Looks like you will be having fun!
